 Omo! Why was this given to me?Usually Drum Captains get this award every year.I admitted to my band teacher that I felt I didn't deserve it, but he said I did.Plus, all the lower classmen thought I deserved it. o_OThis was just awarded to me last night.I thought for sure it was going to be Raymond and Josh.But, when the band teacher listed all these things I did as he made one of his "possible made from the impossible" speech, I was literally speechless.As soon as he said from Honor Band, I thought it would be awarded to Josh and Ry.As soon as he said "fixing parts of the music to make things easier", I immediately knew he was talking about me, but I had to make sure.(He said all these things in our annual band banquet.)As soon as he mentioned "she", I kept swaring."Oh, shit, shit shit shit SHIT!" I was trying to hold back me tears. It worked.Always does.I immediately pointed out in my head that I remember the Honor Band this year.The only girl percussionist was me.The band teacher (I shall call him director) mentioned marimbas, xylophones, and mallet stuff.I cried on the inside.My sister, Connie, (yes, I used her as a character in my story, Guardian. Please read that later on.) looked as though she read my ming, and smiled so brightly at me.So, she still looks up to me, huh.Thought that period of admiring your older sister was over.Right when the band director said my name, I heard hollering and loud screams from behind me and all around me.I only formed a small smile on my face as I quickly made my pace to walk up to the stage.I hugged the band director, and everyone went "Awww~!"I quickly made a short bow as I walked off stage.Dude, I was like freaking nervous!There were a lot of people being awarded in this banquet.Even our band director got a plaque and a special pin!Thank Kevin and Elizabeth for this idea! :DPlus, our #1 band mom just graduated at that award banquet, which means she'll be leaving us! :(But, no worries, she'll still contact us if we need to see her or that we miss her. :)When the band banquet was over, most people left because it was around 8:45 PM??Whatever. I'm still on that shock process.Almost everyone I was familiar with who stayed after the banquet was over hugged me in sweet embraces.They kept congratulating me.I felt so happy.Josh said he admitted that he thought he deserved the award, but just as well, he felt proud I got the award.As he said that, he kept kissing the top of my head as he hugged me tightly.I felt so confused.Was he... jealous?I felt bad. Later on, I heard from Konini (yeah, sometimes I call her that!) that Josh and David were the only ones so far who didn't think I deserved the award.I know how Josh felt, and I'm glad he admitted it, but I didn't know why David felt that way about me.I got a bit upset.I wish he was more open to me like Josh was.I'm still shocked over the small plaque I got.Percussion Musician of the Year 2009-2010.I'm not revealing my real name yet, but I'll tell you that my name was printed on it. :DThis band year has been interesting for me.I'm going to miss the seniors - they'll no longer be hanging out in the band room during class now! D:I'm going to be a senior! *shock*  Just finished SATs in the early morning with Ry.We went to Norwalk High School to take them.Can't mention any stuff, though. Sorry. :(Now I will be taking the ACT this Saturday morning at Los Alamitos High School.Why there?My father's taking me, and he'll be going to the horse racing track while I take my exams.Silly fathers. :) Love my daddy!I'm a daddy's little girl. hehe~ I have to think about my future now!Argg~!I'm actually sticking to music as my major.I believe I can become a talented musician in the Asian entertainment industry.Xiao Yu Dian, fighting! Jiayou!My mother wanted me to be a doctor, but depending on how many people I know pursuing the medical career, I'd predict that in the future, there will be too many people not knowing anything else but medicine! Haha~! I'm thinging about dying my hair burgundy.People think I look similar to my sister to the point of thinking that that 4ft 9 inched sister of mine is me!I'm a foot taller than her, at least! That's the time era that I have to work on for Language Arts Honors project.I'm printing one of the source pages as I type at this very moment. Hope the printer doesn't run out of ink. :-( I'm in no mood to even think about homework this week. In fact, I rather study the SAT Slam Word Book that I borrowed. I'll just make it look like I'm doing more of my Italian Renaissance research. Right now my sister is shouting out random colors to her Nintendo DS. It's one of the old kinds where you touch only the bottom screen. Hers is broken, too. ha ha Our cousin let her have it. X-D Again, I'm in no mood to do my DBQ for my APUSH class. There is something stuck in my throat. Someone came to the conclusion that I probably scratched my esophagus, which made me more tense considering the fact that I've been trying to get rid of it for 1/2 an hour during 5th period at school. Man, the school is not good at taking care of their students much. They won't give me anything to remove whatever's in my throat. It still hurts. Drum-liners were making fun of how I cough today because of my throat. I swear, I never have respect. Never. It's as if I don't exist. (By the way, I was eating a granola bar with cream cheese before lunch ended and students had to go to their 5th period.) Speaking of which, 5th period was my French class. A guy name Uriel suddenly comes up to me while everyone was talking in groups, asking me if I like "Anonymous". ;-) You mean my best friend??? He asked me eagerly, and even swore on oath that if word would get leaked out, I get to beat the crap out of him. I smiled, because now I know he'll keep it confidentially. I said yes. Sometimes, I unleash one of my many hidden talents if someone tries to listen and be all nosy in an A to B conversation, which is: Make up a story and lead people into believing it. You see, it's all in how look at people based on their personality. Uriel and I were able to hide what we were actually talking about in front of Angel and Mhia. You can use the nosy person's personality traits and turns it against them into another form of conversation. Maybe this is why I don't have much friends, and when I do, they're only guys... I'm going to be busy this week, so wish me luck! Right now, she's in the middle of winter break, and she doesn't bother reading "Wuthering Heights" for Language Arts Honors - not just yet, though.
Right now, Jin Ai watches time flying by. It's 22:32 here in California. On the last day of school, she was happy. Why? For 2 reasons: #1 Reinacting the Winter Concert Band for families towards the students at Suburban High. #2 Drumline Secret Santa - Time to reveal who gets what from whoever!
Jin Ai knew she messed up a bit at the Winter Concert. She needed a new perscription of glasses - fast! Ry had his own solo on Silent Night on the bells, and the Jazz Band sounded so great! When Friday came, Jin Ai only missed a few; thank God, but Ry reversed. He kept telling Mary (I'll call this new person here that.) that he never screwed up much like this before. Well, everyone makes mistakes, right? Anyways, it came to Jin Ai's attention that Ry and Mary looked so close together. She was a little jealous before, but now these people look more like brother and sister. And besides, Ry's got a girlfriend right now. Other than that the 2 shows on Friday was a success.
Now, onto the Drumline: Blowfish (That's the 2nd person coming into this story) was in too much of a rush to try to get Jin Ai to give her gift. When it finally became her turn, she was giving an introduction, and Blowfish kept complaining. "Now, whoever was born on December 29th, gets this gift." I gave the big box to Roy. "Merry Christmas!" she exclaimed. Roy practically ripped opened the cardboard box and all his little gifts kept flying out! It took a bit while for him to unwrap all the little trinkets and stuff he's really fond of. Then, Roy gave ABC (yes, this is another person I'm adding to the story) a big box - just like last year. *Sigh.* ABC looked happy and we all laughed as he slowly unwrap box by box. He also got little trinkets and stuff he was fond of. Afer a laughing while,
it was Ry's turn.
"Oh, where's my gift? Oh there it is!"
He picks up the gift bag and
was about to hand in.
Jin Ai thought for a moment
it was sweet giving a present to Mary.
But then,
"Here you go. Merry Christmas!"
The gift bag was
directly handed towards
Jin Ai. (You see, Jin Ai stood next to Mary on her right side. Ry was standing next to Mary on her left side.)
Jin Ai blushed in embarrassment
and slowly took the bag.
Blowfish and Nikki (Yes, another person in the story.)
were like,
"Oooh! Jin Ai, why're you blushin`?"
Most of the crowd
started making the
same lovey-dovey noises
and laughed a bit.
JIn Ai dropped everything as she unwrapped
the gift,
and pulled out a
panda bear plushie.
Right at the moment,
nothing else mattered.
She knew what was
going on in the background
around her.
She blushed even more and
held the plushie
close to her chest.
Nothing much really mattered
anymore.
Although it was part of the wishlist
Jin Ai added with the other people,
she still thought the gift was lovely.
She never thought
anyone else in her class
would ever give her a
very sweet gift
like that in years.
After all that commotion,
it turned out Blowfish
was the only one who didn't get a gift
because his SECRET SANTA WAS IN MEXICO FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
Anyways, right now Jin Ai is watching Love Queen from August 2006 show. She got tired of anticipating for Love or Bread series. Although Love Queen is a bit old series, Jin Ai enjoys it. If anyone hasn't watched it, go ahead and watch it! :
