Kim JongHyun & Jiang YuDi's DateReluctantly, Lee JinKi let Jiang YuDi off from her work shift the next day due to not only Independence Day (the date of this chapter's story is July 4th), but also because it was the day Kim JongHyun had to date YuDi. JinKi blamed himself for not thinking straight. He invited YuDi to join their SHINee group, and he forgot the stupid initiation that he started himself when he was younger.Letting out a huge sigh, JinKi locked the glass doors and turned to find his little brother, Lee TaeMin, smiling at him. Next to TaeMin is Choi MinHo, the Lee brothers' childhood friend from the orphanage back in Seoul. JinKi smiled to himself, thinking he did the right thing to get MinHo closer to TaeMin when they were younger. Otherwise, they'd both grow up lonely and unloved. Now, those 2 boys are standing in front of him, smiling like idiotic teenagers."Hyung, let's go enjoy the fireworks!" TaeMin exclaimed, pulling JinKi's hand and dragged him to the city hall lawn, where the fireworks will be shown there for 30 minutes. MinHo followed the Lee brothers while checking his watch. The time showed 8p.m."Minnie, the firework show doesn't start until 30 minutes from now." MinHo told TaeMin.TaeMin turned to look at MinHo. "I know, but we need to find good spots to watch the fireworks!"JinKi chuckled at his brother. "Silly namdongsaeng! I signed us up to help prepare the fireworks!"MinHo and TaeMin were shocked. "You mean we get to be closer to the fireworks than everyone else?!"JinKi nodded as TaeMin and MinHo high fived each other. "Well, let's hurry, so we can prepare the fireworks already and light them when it's 8:30p.m.!" said JinKi. Quickly, all 3 of them ran towards the city hall lawn.Meanwhile, starting from 5a.m. on July 4th, the Kim brothers decided to surprise YuDi by going to her house. Since YuDi never gave her exact address to JinKi, they had to literally knock on every neighborhood door and politely ask if there was a Jiang YuDi living in the home. After what seemed like hours, the Kim brothers finally knocked on the right door. It was a simple small house; the whole house would equally be compared to the Kim Residence's entire kitchen room back in Korea!Kim KiBum noticed this, and started to open his mouth to say something as he and Kim JongHyun entered the house under Mrs. Jiang's permission, but JongHyun quickly covered his mouth with his hand.He raspily whispered to him, "Don't insult people below your status, pabo! We're under the presence of old folks, so behave!"KiBum just simply rolled his eyes and nodded in reply. JongHyun slowly and carefully let go of his stepbrother's mouth and walked towards YuDi's parents. He noticed they were as tan as YuDi was when he first met her, which was practically yesterday. Mrs. Jiang quickly moved to KiBum and squeezed his cheeks."Oh~ you're so cute! What's your name, you handsome boy?" Mrs. Jiang asked KiBum."Umm... KiBum Kim. But please, do call me Key." He bowed in front of Mrs. Jiang, and she let out a happy squeal."Awww~ how about you be my daughter, yeah? All I have are boys! Hahaha~ just kidding! My only 2 daughters are like boys! I can tell you guys are YuDi's friends, based the fact that you're guys. HAHA~ she's only friends with guys, for some reason." Then she started telling Key how YuDi always wanted an older brother, and how he is YuDi's ideal description of an older brother. Key gulped at this information, remembering the kiss he gave YuDi yesterday by accident.In the meantime, JongHyun and Mr. Jiang chuckled at the way Mrs. Jiang was treating Key - like a princess. They started talking about girly stuff, which JongHyun and Mr. Jiang lost interest in paying attention to them and turned to face each other. JongHyun bowed in front of Mr. Jiang."Hello, Mr. Jiang. My name is JongHyun Kim, and I wanted to spend time with your daughter today." he said with a smile on his face.Mr. Jiang was suspicious of the way he wore his clothes. It was a casual bad boy outfit. Raising an eyebrow, he asked JongHyun, "Which daughter of mine were you looking for?"With confidence, JongHyun answered, "YuDi Jiang. Don't worry, it's not a date, since I thought of bringing my brother with me. He's a great companion when it comes to shopping.""All 3 of you are going shopping?""Yes, and don't worry, we'll be paying for whatever YuDi wants to buy. We'll also take care of her, no funny business." JongHyun said with a continuous smile. Thank God for YuDi's advice yesterday on bringing Key and the heads up on her parents! Hope all this late night studying English with Key pays off with her parents... please let me go out with her - I mean, us! Please let us hang out with her! he thought in his head.Mr. Jiang took a good look at JongHyun, then looked behind the boy and at his wife. His wife was teaching Key a few Tagalog (language used in Philippines) words. Key squealed with happiness written on his face and his movements were of a typical girl. Fully convinced with the diva's actions, Mr. Jiang's full attention was now on JongHyun again."Okay, I'm convinced. You two can go with my daughter." He said reluctantly. He didn't actually want to let his daughter go out, but then he realized something. His little daughter's at a full 2 day sleepover at her friend's house, so now if his eldest daughter were to leave the house, then he and his wife can finally relax and have a good romantic time on the 4th of July. He smiled at the thought and turned to JongHyun again."You know what? I feel like giving my wife here a romantic time today, since it's the 4th of July. Since you're my daughter's friends, obviously by the way you two dress, you can go shopping and have a good time. No funny business, okay? Oh, and there's also a firework show tonight at 8:30p.m. Bring her there, because I'm too old to keep up with her hyper moods when she sees fireworks. Hehe~" Mr. Jiang said to JongHyun with a smile on his face.Mrs. Jiang's jaw dropped open when she heard this. She then blushed when her husband randomly took her hand and kissed it. JongHyun and Key, getting the idea that the old couple needed time to themselves, quickly searched for YuDi throughout the house. They finally found her on her bed, sleeping like an angel. Key looked up at the clock on her bedroom wall, reading 6:35a.m.JongHyun and Key looked at each other, then the empty hallway, then back at each other, grinning in an evil way and counted in their heads to 3.3 - 2 - 1 - JUMP!They both pounced on YuDi's body, using both of their weights to wake her up. They succeeded in doing so, making YuDi open her eyes slowly and staring at a diva and a puppy raptor on top of her. "What the - " she mumbled."GOOD MORNING, JIANG YUDI!" the Kim brothers shouted near her ears.Her eyes widened in surprise as she could make out the blurry figures on top of her blanket. She immediately took her glasses from her bedstand and wore them, just in case if she saw it wrong. She glanced at them. Yep, it was the Kim brothers."What are you doing here?" she asked sleepily. "How'd you find my address?""We knocked door to door until we came to this house." Key replied."And Key's tagging along to our date, so that your parents can romanticize each other without worries that you won't be safe. Okay?" JongHyun replied with a smile."Oh." YuDi answered. There was silence, then YuDi spoke again. "Can you guys get off me now?" she asked grumpily.Both Kims climbed out of the bed and let YuDi out of her blankets. She sleepily walked to the restroom, then 5-10 minutes of brushing teeth and washing her face, she came out of the restroom and walked to the kitchen. Key and JongHyun suddenly heard a scream from the kitchen and found YuDi running back to the bedroom."EWWW! MY PARENTS ARE KISSING!" she shrieked out. JongHyun shuddered as Key thought of something."Hyung, why can't we just bring her to our place? She could freshen up there."10 minutes later, YuDi quickly made herself look freshened up and brang her duffel bag full of clothes Key picked out for her when he was searching through her entire wardrobe. Gotta admit, that diva has nice taste in fashion. she thought to herself as she wore her Reebok sneakers on.All 3 of them quickly fled out the front door& past YuDi's parents, for they feel they might end up blind if they even stole a quick glance. There's no way I'm freshening in that house while Jjong and Key wait for me - they mind end up blind! YuDi thought as she rode on the city bus with JongHyun and Key to their place.When she arrived at the apartment complex, she couldn't believe her eyes. The place was too pretty to be in a simple town like hers! She and the Kim brothers entered the tenant dorm where they, MinHo, and the Lee brothers all shared together. The place didn't look at all packed for 5 boys to live in! It was practically a place for rich people to YuDi's eyes.It took 30 minutes for YuDi to change because of Key's nagging. He kept making YuDi change until she looked all right for him. JongHyun didn't mind at all; he kept staring at YuDi as she kept walking in and out from the bedroom to model for Key. Hmm... she's a bit chubby, but she's still pretty cute. I like curvy girls. he thought to himself. He cheekily smiled when YuDi finally got out of the bedroom with a dressy shirt along with accessories and a medium length skirt. Cute. :) JongHyun thought.Throughout the whole morning and afternoon, the 3 went on a transit to BuLei Mall (made up the location) to do nothing but shopping and eating out at restaurants. The only time JongHyun and YuDi had some alone time was when Key went shopping - and that was for 5 hours! When they met up together at 5:30p.m., JongHyun and YuDi looked like they had a great time, and obviously with many shopping bags so did Key.With the money they had left, JongHyun and Key bought fireworks and hopped on a bus with YuDi back to the city to light the fireworks. YuDi told them a place where the cops won't recognize where they'll light the fireworks at. It was a bridge near the ChongBo Cafe, and also close to the city hall lawn. If they light the fireworks at the same time as the ones at the city hall lawn where everyone in town is at, then they won't get caught.YuDi and Jjong ran towards the center of the bridge and looked down at the empty street. The bridge was connected to a parking lot and near the theaters, which were also empty. Key looked at the time on his watch. It had read 8:15p.m. He rushed over to Jjong and YuDi, who were mesmerized by the view of the city."Yah! Jjong! YuDi! Let's prepare the fireworks now!" he commanded them. 15 minutes later, Key lit the firworks that Jjong assembled together to create a massive explosion, but only to shoot fireworks in the sky. At the same time that the fireworks from the city hall lawn shot in the sky, sparks started sparkling everywhere on the bridge and the fireworks from there shot into the sky as well. Key jumped to one side of the bridge to protect himself, scared and happy at the same time.Jjong guarded YuDi away from the fire sparks to the other side of the bridge to protect her from burning her. They both looked up at the sparkling lights of the fireworks in the sky. They were both amazed at its beauty."Wow, how beautiful..." YuDi exclaimed with wonders filled in her eyes.Jjong, with his arms wrapped around YuDi's waist to protect her from the fireworks behind him, turned his attention away from the fireworks and at YuDi.He smiled at her. "Yes, you are..." he replied.YuDi looked up at him and blushed with a smile. Jjong softly kissed her on the cheek and pulled back afterwards with a cheeky grin. YuDi looked happy, but a bit confused."I thought you weren't allowed to kiss on these initiations...?" she asked him.He easily replied, "Not on the lips. JinKi didn't say anything about skinship, though."YuDi punched him on the arm. "You cheater!" she cried out, almost having Key's attention towards her."Hey, what's going on over there?" he shouted towards the teenagers on the other side of the bridge."Nothing! She said to look up at the pretty lights!" Jjong shouted back, pointing to the sky with one arm, while the other was still wrapped around YuDi's waist. Key diverted his attention quickly to the sky again, amazed at the awesome lights he and his friends created on the bridge. It took a long while for the fireworks in the bridge to die out.YuDi, to Jjong's surprise, placed her arms on Jjong's arms to prevent them from leaving her waist. Without looking at Jjong, who was staring at her now, she replied, "It feels good like this, so don't let go. Stay like this until the fireworks next to us runs out." Jjong caught her smiling while squeezing his hand in hers.He glanced at Key, who was busy shouting at the sky about how wonderful the fireworks are. When the coast was clear again, he kissed YuDi's cheek a second time, longer time than the first one. Then he trailed down to her neck and shoulder without leaving hickies. YuDi giggled softly, then pulled his lips away from her skin so they can continue watching the fireworks together.Labels: fiction, story, your heart will tell you
