Part 1: Love Triangles Entangled in Websremember: Mandarin Chinese and English, plus thoughts
~February 14 in Korea~Location: meditation hallOnew searched through the place looking for Nikka. Hee Chul noticed her missing presence and screeched at Onew earlier. The ringing stung in his ear, causing him to hit the side of his head with his hand as he went to find her.He knew Nikka's personality well in the past - he knew she'd run away from the white tents after overlooking through all of the marie claire outfits she had to wear. Onew noticed the reason why she ran quietly, which is because all the outfits could not slim fit her size.Onew told Hee Chul he'll look for Nikka only until she gets the clothes that fit her slimmingly well. If Nikka was still the same little girl before, then Onew would remember that Nikka is always worrying about her weight problems.Now looking around for her in the meditation hall, Onew had a nice marie claire white dress in his clutches, along with white high heels which are exactly in Nikka's foot size. He called her name "Nikka" several times before glancing out the window. There, he witnessed Jonghyun kissing Nikka outside of the meditation hall.The window was opened just a tad bit, so Onew was able to hear Jonghyun's chants of "I love you" as he was kissing Nikka. He saw Nikka's eyes widen as she pulled herself away from Jonghyun."Did y-you just s-say you l-love me?" she stuttered out.
It took Jonghyun a moment to realize what he had said, then his eyes were wide open in shock. Onew witnessed the surprise look on Jonghyun's face. Onew was shocked as well.
"I-I think I d-did...." he said as he looked at the snowy ground.
"Well, did you mean it...?" she asked as she looked at the snowy ground.
They both turned their heads to look at each other. Onew waited anticipatingly for Jonghyun's answer, only to be upset at his confident grin.
"Yes, I did."Nikka excitingly jumped up and down, then kissed Jonghyun. Onew looked away from the window, a pain throbbing in his chest. Since when were they together? .... He let out a deep sigh after taking a deep breath. His head turned back to the kissing couple on the other side of the window. With a fake smile on, he tapped loudly on the window for attention.The couple quickly broke free from each other and was surprised to find Onew staring at them. Onew could see them standing nervously, so he decided to pretend he didn't see anything and just kept smiling at them."Ah! Hyung-ah! What-t b-brings you here?" Jonghyun nervously asked as he scratched his head."Jonghyun, Hee Chul says that if you don't dress up as a girl and go with Yi Ru, he'll just attempt to take pictures of you back at the dorm." It's true, he said that...Remembering the famous bipolar photographer, Jonghyun said his goodbyes and in a flash he was gone. Nikka watched her loving boyfriend as he ran towards the white tents in front of the temple. Another tapping noise from the windowsill brought her attention back to Onew from the other side of the window. He waved happily to Nikka and showed her the outfits he had in his hands. Nikka brightened up just seeing the pretty clothing, and her eyes drifted onto what Onew was wearing. It seemed to match her outfit; white loose pants, a white shirt which was only buttoned halfway, and white formal shoes.This triggered her memory of a little boy wearing white clothing, kissing her on the corner of her mouth near the side of her cheek. She remembered wearing a white dress with high heels. A snap went off in her brain, and now she looked at Onew in a different way. Like she finally found her long lost buddy."Jinki?!" she exclaimed.Onew, watching Nikka's facial expressions, softened his smile and now stared at Nikka in a serious manner."Veronica?" He knew it was too good to be true, that Nikka could actually remember him from a part of her past. He was supposed to prevent her from remembering unfortunate events; especially how she got the scar on her right hip. "Do you remember...?"She quickly nodded with a goofy grin on her face. Onew's eyes widened as she motioned for him to wait and started running off somewhere. She appeared again, this time running towards him inside the meditation hall. Onew couldn't help but smile.Unexpectedly, she kissed him on the corner of his mouth near the side of his cheek. She backed up to see Onew looking at her in perplexity. She then stuck her tongue out at him."That was payback for what you did to me the last time we met - so HAH! Mwah ha ha ha~" she shouted in hysteria.Onew couldn't help but laugh. I guess this is the closure I need to get over her... this feels nice; just being her friend. As they were leaving to their photo location, Abby secretly watched from the outside of the meditation hall with a sudden pain piercing in her chest. She doesn't know why, though.Location: Palgong MountainChen Yi Ru and Kim Jonghyun posed naturally with each other, but as soon as Hee Chul left for North Gyeongsang, all of the staff at Palgong Mountain with Yi Ru and Jonghyun collapsed to the ground. Everyone complained about Hee Chul's mood swings the whole time he took pictures - for 1 hour and 45 minutes exactly! Most of all, the staff felt sorry for Yi Ru and Jonghyun. They uncomfortably had to pose as the flirty couple. Moreover, Jonghyun was sort of phobic when it came to heights. So when Yi Ru had to pose dipping Jonghyun near the edge of the mountain (the staff set the photoshoot to a good 42 feet above sea level), Hee Chul had to retake the photo 14 times to get the pose looking natural. Everyone agreed it was too cold, but Hee Chul was the only one who complained that the location was too warm!Jonghyun threw his wig to one of the staff and got up from his feet. Other than the issues of photography, leaving the maknaes at the dorm for a long time (it's already around noon), and Onew's soon confession of his past with Mr. Han and Nikka - all he could ever think about was admitting his love to Nikka. A goofy grin spread across his face as he started towards the minivan to change into regular clothes."What's with the funny smile on your face?"Jonghyun snapped back into reality to look up at Chen Yi Ru. He sure is very tall... damn my height! Aissh! He also noticed Yi Ru having the nicest smile he's ever seen, other than Onew's tofu smile. I guess that's why they awarded him as Sunshine Boy in Canada; that's a nice smile. :)"Oh, sorry, if Yi Ru's a bit too complicated for you, then you can call me by my English name, Calvin Chen. Is that possible for you?"Jonghyun nodded as Calvin insisted on using the sports car that his company from Taiwan decided to give him while he's in Korea. As they both headed to the silver sports car, Calvin asked another question with curiosity."So, why were you smiling back there? I bet you were thinking of your girlfriend, huh?"Jonghyun blushed suddenly, causing Calvin to laugh while the both of them hopped into the car.Finally Jonghyun spoke up. "Our management company says we're not allowed to have girlfriends - ""Not unless you date a celebrity." Calvin cut in. "You seem like the type who would date someone as famous as you are. Am I right?"Jonghyun was surprised that this person driving next to him would know exactly what was on his mind. "How did you know I was dating a celebrity?""Well," Calvin started to answer, "let's start with giving a girl security. You look like the type of person to want to start a relationship with security for your other half; thus resulting having you, a celebrity, dating another celebrity.""Oh." was all Jonghyun could say. He stared away from Calvin and outside of the car as they headed for Palgong-san Provincial Park."Oh, come on! I know you want to brag about her, so spill! I want to know details! And I promise, I'll never tell a soul." promised Calvin.Jonghyun turned his head to look at Calvin's smile. That smile made him reassure himself that he'd want to brag about his girlfriend to someone, so why not him? He smiled and nodded to the tall man."Alright, then. Who's the lucky girl? What's her stage name?"Jonghyun smiled even wider as he thought about her. "Her name's Veronica, but she goes by Nikka."Location: Ap-san ParkHee Chul gave EVERYONE a hard time when it came down to Wu Ji Zun and Abby's photoshoot. First off was the location change. Instead of North Gyeongsang, he decided (based on his mood swings) at the last minute that they'll be moving the photoshoot to Ap-san Park. Second off was Abby's comfort zone. It took Ji Zun 40 minutes to calm Abby down and convince her to wear the girlish clothing, which she reluctantly agreed to after another 5 minutes of calming down. Last off was obviously Hee Chul's mood swings. After a good yelling of 50 minutes at the photoshoot, Hee Chul left to Dongseongno, thus completing the photoshoot. Everyone was extremely tired as they packed up all the equipment.After Abby unhesitantly changed into her regular clothes, Ji Zun met up with her and asked her to stick around a bit for coffee and lunch. Abby checked her watch to find out - 3p.m.?! Good Lord, I need to eat! On cue, her stomach growled in Ji Zun's presence. He laughed at Abby's sudden blushing exterior."Man, why am I so unlucky today?" she asked herself aloud as she and Ji Zun walked through the park with coffee cups in their hands and bags of leftover lunch."Well, other than the photoshoot, what makes you think you're so unlucky?" Ji Zun asked her.Abby barely noticed that someone had listened to her rambling. "Oh. Um... it would have to be about the heart.""Oh? Please continue then.""Well, it seems that almost everyone I know's got a partner for themselves except for me! Even Onew's in a one-sided relationship with Nikka, but she only thinks of him as a friend from her past! And even she's got Jonghyun. KIM JONGHYUN! I mean, how can an ordinary girl like her get an amazing guy like that?! Man, love's so complicated! And here I am, sitting next to a hunk that for some reason I'm not even attracted to!"Then there was silence. Complete, awkward silence.Finally Ji Zun spoke his mind. "Well, who gives you this certain feeling in your chest whenever you're near him? Everytime you speak to this certain person, he's sure to make your heart beat faster. This certain person can entertain you with his personality, which you know you'll miss whenever you're away. Just exactly who can make you smile every time he touches you? Speaks to you? Locks eyes with you? Spends time with you?"Abby took his words into consideration, and confidentally came with one solution and said, "Tofu.""Eh?""Dude, what does this mean?""Um....well.... whether a person or an object, the first person or thing you think about when considering these questions is the one, or thing, which you truly love and care for.""....so I love Onew?""Wait, that's what you meant by 'tofu'?" Abby nodded in response.Location: DongseongnoIt's funny how Wang Dong Cheng and Key seem to be the only pair in the photoshoot Hee Chul never had a problem with. In fact, there were no staff members at all around him at the location. It was probably because Dongseongno is also known as Downtown of Daegu, and the famous photographer did not want to attract attention. As far as anyone on the streets knows, 2 crazy men and a diva are taking selca pose pictures. Not many people seemed to recognize their fame much, since they kept their distance away from them, just in case if they were crazy people.After 46 minutes about, Hee Chul was finished with their "personalized" photoshoot and continued to travel to the last destination of the day. He informed Dong Cheng and Key to inform everyone else to meet at Mangu Park by 7p.m. wearing nightgowns and pajamas before he left. After he left, Dong Cheng and Key changed into regular clothes and stretched outside on the street. Key checked the time on his phone. It was 4:35p.m."Oh. Time to call everyone, then. Help spread the word, Dong Cheng." Key instructed."Hey, you can call me Da Dong instead, alright?" insisted Dong Cheng."Okay, fine." Just as he was about to call Jonghyun, Key's phone rang I Go Crazy Because of You by T-ARA. Da Dong finished texting Chen Yi Ru, then noticed Key not picking up his phone."Key, shouldn't you pick up your phone? It's ringing." he suggested. He stared at Key's angry expression as he answered his phone with brutality evident in his voice."Yah! Konini! What do you want?! I'm busy!" Key exclaimed furiously over the phone. Da Dong couldn't help but eavesdrop over the conversation Key had on the phone. After all, he did accidentally put it on speaker for everyone else on the street passing by to hear."Yah! I don't care! I just want to know if Ate and Abby are doing their extra credit work yet?" a deep manly voice shouted over the phone. Wait, doesn't Ate mean Older Sister in Tagalog? That language from the Philippines? So this guy may be Filipino. Cool."Extra Credit? What are you talking about? So they're not here just because of the photoshoot?" I'm going to assume this has something to do with MVP, because the guy over the phone mentioned Abby's name earlier. Hehe. The Ice Cold Princess who hates her nickname and girly things..."Yeah, um, apparently Ate and Abby's grades got a bit lower, so in order to maintain high grades and gain scholarships to whichever university they want to go to next year, they have to attend a school in Korea. I'm guessing based on SM Entertainment, they'll either let them go to SM Academy or go to the same school as Taemin-oppa." Wait, oppa? Doesn't that mean Older Brother for Younger Girls in Korean? But that would mean - the person over the phone is a woman? She has a deep voice! Also, isn't Taemin one of the maknaes who weren't able to make it today? So that would make her younger than Taemin... damn! That's pretty young for such a person with a deep voice!"Yah, devil-Konini! You want me to eat you up like a panini?! How come you call Taemin your oppa and not me also?!" Hehe... that rhymed! Konini and panini! Haha~"Aissh! I got no time to bicker with you! Just tell Ate and Abby that I'll be coming there as soon as I'm done settling in Taiwan with Aaron Yan! Bye, Bummie~! Mehrong! *sticks out tongue fron the other end of the phone line connection; even though Key can't see her doing so*" She hung up on Key after the Mehrong act.Key froze where he stood when he heard Connie earlier say that she'll be coming soon.
